We’re pleased to announce the availability of osTicket v1.18.4. This release includes important security updates, bug fixes, and ongoing compatibility improvements for PHP 8.3 and PHP 8.4. As always, we recommend upgrading your helpdesk at your earliest convenience to take advantage of the latest enhancements and protections.

Requirements

To take advantage of modern email authentication methods, the Oauth2 Plugin is required. This release supports PHP versions 8.2 through 8.4.

Upgrading Your Helpdesk

Note: Before upgrading, verify that your server is running a supported PHP version. All osTicket releases v1.17 and newer require PHP 8.2–8.4.

Existing users can follow our upgrade guide for step-by-step instructions. If you’re installing osTicket for the first time, download the latest version and follow the installation guide to get started.

While upgrading, be sure to update all installed plugins and language packs to ensure full compatibility.

Reminder: The OAuth2 Plugin must be installed to utilize modern email authentication features.

Maintenance Releases

Organizations that are not yet ready to move to the latest feature release should upgrade to the current maintenance release, v1.17.8. This release contains important security fixes and stability improvements for the v1.17 branch. All fixes included in v1.17.8 are also incorporated into v1.18.4.
