osTicket v1.17 RC2 Available
We’ve taken feedback from the community, ironed out some issues, and tested even more, and now we present to you, osTicket v1.17 Release Candidate 2.
!!IMPORTANT!!
This is a release candidate, and it should not be used in production. It should only be used for testing purposes.
Requirements
In order to test external authorization, you must use the OAuth2 Plugin. Please note that this release candidate requires PHP 8.0.x and should only be used for testing OAuth functionality.
Be on the lookout for documentation as well as a tutorial on how to set everything up. We have focused our testing on using OAuth with Outlook and Gmail.
Upgrading Your Testing Helpdesk
Note: Before upgrading osTicket, be sure to check your PHP version to make sure it is compatible. osTicket v1.17 RC1 requires PHP 8.0.x.
You can check out the upgrade guide for complete instructions on how to upgrade your helpdesk. If you are installing osTicket for the first time, then simply download osTicket and follow the installation guide.
Please be sure to upgrade your plugins as well as any language packs you have installed.
Note: You will need to download the OAuth2 Plugin in order to test external authorization.
