osTicket v1.12.2 Released!

The osTicket team is happy to announce the release of osTicket version 1.12.2.

Release Highlights

The release fixes bugs and addresses several security vulnerabilities reported in prior versions, and also introduces a host of awesome enhancements and features.

For a complete list of improvements, fixes and changes please check our release notes.

**Important Note**

Please note, we had a bug fix in this release that corrected the behavior of the Recipients field for Departments. It was incorrectly sending out alerts even if Recipients was set to ‘No one’. If you want to change the behavior of this field, you can change it by going to:

Admin Panel | Agents Tab | Departments | Select the desired department

The Recipients field is under Alerts and Notices on the form. If it is set to ‘No one (disable Alerts and Notices)’, Agents will NOT receive an alert when a Ticket is created in this Department. If it is set to ‘Department members only’, only Agents with this Department as a primary Department will receive the alert. If it is set to ‘Department and extended access members’, all Agents with access to this Department will receive the alert.

For documentation of new features as well as existing features, please check out our documentation website.

Maintenance Releases for 1.10 Series

For osTicket users who are unable or unwilling to upgrade, we highly recommend upgrading to the 1.10.7 maintenance release, v1.10.7. These new maintenance releases address security vulnerabilities affecting prior releases. These fixes have also been integrated into v1.12.2.

Upgrading your installation

If you are using an older version of osTicket, we highly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version – please refer to the upgrade guide for complete instructions. If you are installing osTicket for the first time, then simply download osTicket v1.12.2 and follow the installation guide.
