Default Gmail settings

I've been searching around for threads regarding this but none seem to work for me.

I have my SMTP settings set to
SMTP Host: ssl://smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port: 465
Authentication Required: Yes

I've tried IMAP and POP for incoming, but neither works. I've tried
Host: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Protocol: IMAP
Encryption: SSL

This is the error I get using IMAP" Can't connect to gmail-imap.l.google.com,993: Connection timed out"

When I set my settings to POP
Host: pop.gmail.com
Port: 993
Protocol: POP3
Encryption: SSL

This is the error I get using POP3 "Can't connect to gmail-pop.l.google.com,993: Connection timed out"

According to my experience, POP3 of gmail uses port number 995 with Connection Security: SSL/TLS.

Sincerely,

Thanks, I found out that HostMonster does not allow outgoing/incoming email traffic for google apps accounts, they only allow it if the email is being hosted on their own servers =\

Default Running into the same issue - Help!

I am running the crons via wget per

http://osticket.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3158
and
http://osticket.com/wiki/POP3/IMAP_Settings

I'm still getting the 77 error and the following:

Can't connect to gmail-pop.l.google.com,993: Connection timed out

Any idea how to resolve?

Default Gmail Settings

Have you enabled automatic cron jobs? Go to Admin Panel/Settings and under General Settings click the check box "Enable cron call on staff's activity". Once I did this, the gmail settings worked.
