Arrow Fetch email from Gmail problem

Hello,

I want to use email fetching (by gmail). sending mail (smtp) is working.

my settings are:

Status: Enable
Host: pop.gmail.com
Port: 995
Encryption: SSL
Fetch Frequency: 5
Maximum Emails Per Fetch= 30
Delete Messages: Yes

It is giving me error:
IMAP doesn't exist. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled.

IMAP is enabled in my gmail account.

Pleas tell where am I wrong.

The message clearly states that IMAP extension needs to be enabled in PHP. PHP is not the same thing as gmail account.

Thank u Peter for prompt answer,

I have not any knowlege about PHP. basically I am dot net develper.

Your application is so good that I installed it on my website. through your installation guide (which was so easy like A,B,C...)

You told to enable IMAP extention in PHP.

Do this in osTicket applications' PHP file or somewhere in website-hosting control panel. My website hosting provider give me Helm contrl panel with limited access.

Please guide me to solve this problem.

Thanks

Parminder

Either way, you will need the IMAP extension enabled (it's a bit improperly named).

Parminder, I would suggest you contact your hosting provider, since this is something they will need to provide, or, if it is something you are able to enable on their system, they will be able to instruct you on how to do so.

I cosider Peter's information

I asked to my web hosting service provider about it (Enabling IMAP for PHP) and he is not enabling it.

It means it is problem with my web site hosting provider.

I am going to change my web-site hosting provider who has IMAP enabled for PHP.

Hope it will be done then.

Thank u peter.

Default @Parminder

Changing host may be not that simple, as in my case the hosting providers refused to enable IMAP on web server and gave excuse of security concerns.

So what I did is, setup my 2 free machines with apache and setup development environments on both, and the email fetching work is now being done on local servers without any real security concerns.

I'd be glad if you share any better host with IMAP enabled with PHP beside bulk hosting offer.

Peace

Default I use hostgator with osTicket

I've got an osticket installation running through my hostgator account. The only issue I ran into was that they block port 995 by default. I sent in a ticket about it and they had the outgoing port opened within like 15 mins (at 10pm no less :P). Anyway, might work out for you.
