We are using osTicket Support and are in Standard Atlantic Time, Eastern Canada. When we set the preferences to the right time zone we get tickets generated with Wed Dec 31, 1969 12:00pm?
On one hand it makes us look like we've been around forever and twice my age but on the other hand it looks unprofessional to not have the settings of an installation match.

This is a first and news to me! Your installation is v1.6 RC1 right?
That said, I take offense with you signature. osTicket forums is not for promoting businesses. Not even your adult hosting biz. Sorry.

I have the same problem with the date, I installed the system through cPanel and Fantastico.
osT Version 1.3.1

The top ticket was submitted via email and the bottom one was via the online form.
EDIT: Just realized that that I'm using an old version. I'll upgrade and see if I continue having the same problem.

Okay, ignore my previous post. The newest version works great... see what I get for trusting cPanel installing the most recent version? :)

Hi. I have the same problem but I am not sure how to upgrade to the newest version. Do I just download the files and ftp them up ? Or is there another way ? Would appreciate the help. thanks

It would help to know the version of OST that you are using. Assuming that you are on 1.6.rc2:
to upgrade read the following thread:
http://www.osticket.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255
and the upgrade guide:
http://osticket.com/wiki/Upgrade_and_Migration#osTicket_v1.6_RC2_to_v1.6_RC 3
my only recommendation is that when reading the upgrade guide, where it says "Once you've overwritten the files, rename config.php to ostconfig.php"...just pass by that step and don't do it. My initial upgrade attempt did this, and all I got was a white page. I renamed it back to config.php and all is fine.
