View Full Version : Need Help With New Install

Hi All:

Okay, I will try to explain this as best as I can.

I just completed a new install of OS - Ticket.

To test it, I went to:

http://mydomain.com/helpdesk/

Where I had OS ticket installed.

I entered in a test support ticket, which it took fine.

I then received my email with this link to view it:

http://mydomain.com/helpdesk/view.php?e=email@domain.com&t=390721

When I click on the ticket to view, it takes me to a screen that says please log in. It won't let me view the message replied by admin for the ticket.

Sometimes it says access denied.

I see nowhere in this system where the customer actually has to register first. They simply type in their email when they get to the main help desk screen and their problem. There is no REGISTER option.

Plus, the date of the ticket says 1969.

Please help. I am totally baffled.

What version are you using? Can you tell us some server stats? Operating system, MySQL version, PHP version... etc

I already figured out that cpanel installed 1.3.

Okay, since I just installed it, I deleted it.

I then downloaded the new version. How do I install it without the use of Fantastico?

I know this is going to be a pain but I patching the old one wouldn't have been any easier. I can't find install instructions anywhere. If you can just direct me to a URL that has install instructions not using Fantastico, I will take it from there.

Okay, I downloaded the new version, installed it and everything seems to be working fine.

I should be okay from here.
