I was wondering if there are any config options / workarounds for email on servers where the PHP install was not compiled with IMAP?

Just an fyi, imap is only needed to fetch emails. This allows the creation of your own form to get more precise data you want, and also when emails are replied to by customers, its entered into the ticket system. However, in order to send email alerts and responses, imap is not needed.

ahhhh! so if you are using the standard form (open.php), and every staffer has their own email entered, tickets alerts will be sent to them?!
If this were a bit more clear in the instructions, I may have installed sooner and not been pulling my hair out the last hour! :eek:
