send mail with different SMTP credentials

Hi,

We have  a office365 group mailbox. For ease of discussion we can call it A@domain.com This box does not have SMTP capability. So we also have an SMTP@domain.com account that is able to send out mail.
Both accounts have different credentials.

What we would like is to have every outgoing mail to come from the A@domain.com adres but being send with SMTP@domain.com credentials.

Is that possible?

  • I mean you would have to try it. but I dont see why not.

Set the default email address.  Set the out going email and Auto-REsponse email on all departments.
  • yes, it works. From mail needs to be set to in departments indeed.
