Last updated field not updating when reply or note is added to a ticket

Whenever I try to add an internal/reply to a ticket the last updated field is not updated at the same time. Meaning incorrect sorting takes place on the ticket list. 

How can I ensure that when a ticket is updated the last updated field also gets updated at the same time?
