Hi all,Is it possible to automatically login to the back end? I found a solution for version OST1.6 (by placing a file called auto.php in the scp directory) but that doesn't work for version 1.9.7.Any help is greatly appreciated.Remco
I think that you could do something like this using the http auth plugin.http://osticket.com/download#addons
Thank you for replying ntozier. I've seen the plugin but that seems to be connected to ldap. Can I modify that plugin to do a plain automated name-and-password login?
I stand corrected. I though that it could use other sources also... (Guess i should look at that plugin)
You might want to combine http pass thru with and ldap plugin to achieve SSO ;)
Take a look here:

Thanks for commenting Michael. In my case the problem is really simple. We are on a domain network but I want to leave the domain names out of this. So LDAP is probably not an option for me and I wonder if I can't use a more simple solution.Ideally I want to create a shortcut on a desktop (any desktop, on or off our domain) that will login the user automatically. Something like a hyperlink to http://myosticketsvr/upload/scp/login.php?userid=John&passwd=1234&d=scplogin&__CSRFToken=123456Obivously there are at least two problems here.1) The login.php file uses the POST method. The link above works only with the GET method. 2) The login.php file uses a token wich is rotated. I'd have to get rid of that.I haven't had a lot of time to figure it out and I was hoping somebody would have already created a solution, as they did for v1.6. Cheers, Remco
As far as I understand the logic behind the http passthru plugin, the authentication is done by the webserver and the matched to the same user(name) inside osTicket, so instead of having a desktop link with username and password I'd recommend to find a way that your web server handles the username and password somehow and forward this properly (using the http passthru plugin) to osTicket.Cheers,Michael
