Cron! The one thing that you haven't mentioned is setting up cron. You need to setup cron or task scheduler (or a third party cron utility and use rcron.php) to call the cron.php file every couple of minutes. This wiki article should assist you in doing so. http://osticket.com/wiki/POP3/IMAP_Setting_GuideIf you get stuck and/or need more assistance then this please let us know.
Oh!!! Misread the instructions. Appeared as if either cron job or OS would handle it automatically... Consider me re-educated... Thanks!Al
Back again.....I am a little confused with the API KEY setup..."Client's network IP address. Each unique client IP address will require separate API keys"Is this the ip address of my web hosting company?
You only need to use an API key (and rcron.php file) if you are not calling the file locally via Cron/Task Scheduler. If you need to use it, its the IP address that the request to run rcron.php is coming from. (ie the remote server calling the script)
OK, I am using a remote service to run the rcron.php. They have an API key so I used theirs in the rcron.phpThe remote service is not "complaining" so I assume all is well on their endHowever, the email is not being pickup...
You need to configure the API key in osTicket, and use that in the rcron.php.You can also turn on debug logging in osTicket (Admin panel -> Settings -> Default Log Level: Debug) and it might assist you in seeing whats going on.
I now have it working, thanks to you and your patience :))I have another question, but will open a new discussionThank youAl
You're very welcome.Okay. :)
