Hello,I'm a programming student, but began web programming only 3 weeks ago, so my knowledge of web languages is still poor. In fact, I don't have much knowledge about Active Directories or password hashing/encryption either. So.. I'm trying my luck here :)Currently, I had to heavily modify osTicket, and now I would like users to authenticate through a LDAP. I know there's an osTicket plugin for that, but I can't use it.I know how to authenticate through a LDAP, I have a LDAP class which handles authentication, adding new entries in LDAP, search it ...How can I modify osTicket so it compares user email/login & password with the LDAP and not the database ?This was easy to do for the staff, I just opened the class.staff.php file and edited the function "check_passwd" to try binding in the LDAP.But users authentication process seems to be out of my understanding ... Looking at the LDAP plugin didn't help me either, I expected it to be simpler, like the staff login...If this is not possible or too hard, or whatever ... Can anyone tell me how are passwords encrypted in the database ? So I would be able to replicate database user credentials in the LDAP. And users would auth on the LDAP, then automatically on osTicket as both would then use the same credentials. But for that, I would need to be able to encrypt passwords the same way osTicket encrypts its passwords.I'd be grateful for any help :)
