Hi,I have osticket 1.9.5.1running on a 1&1 server. I am trying to setup the mail addresses and I fail setting up smtp for a zoho e-mail account. The problem error is always Failed to connect to smtp.zoho.com regardless of the port I use. I would appreciate some help to solve this.Thanks in advance.
You will need to get the correct host, protocol and ports from your provider (zoho?). Can you connect with a mail client like Thunderbird, Outlook, etc.?Jack
Many thanks for the answer. Apparently the reason is because smtp is not allowed for hosting only services in 1and1. They suggest to use the php mail function which does work. I hope this may help others in the future.
