Your replies are really confusing. I hardly know where to start.I got the protocol and port information from "mail server admin".
Thank you Jack for taking your time to answer my questions. I think we are getting there, just a few more questions:
At the moment I can only send email from the osTicket (using helpdesk@company.co.uk) to the test user (which is from xxx@company.co.uk). This test user gets the message from osTicket when the message was created from agent, when agent updated ticket status etc. But when the user try to send the response back (I'm assuming from a desktop email program as you reffered my to try) the osTicket does not get the response.
When I try to send an email from helpdesk@company.co.uk to other domain than @[deleted], it failes.
I'm thinking here that maybe I have the wrong Port number, or email login credentials..? Or is there any where inside the osTicket I need to configure, besides the information I provided in my first comment?
I don't think you understood what I meant at all by using a desktop email program. I meant that YOU should connect to the "helpdesk@company.co.uk" mail account using a desktop email client. Once you get the connections to work (sending AND receiving), then set up osTicket the same way. Same username, same password, same ports, same protocol, same options. If you can't send and receive from a mail client, then osTicket won't work either.Jack
