I have replaced the Subject with a drop down list of allowable subjects, unfortunately the ticket panel shows the index for the chosen subject, not the text. Is this a bug ? Did I do something wrong ?John Wyman
If I drop the table (osticket_cdata) and let it rebuild, it starts to work, but still includes the index of the list item along with the actual text. This is still not correct behaviourJohn
I'm not sure how it is you did this... but currently Issue Summary (aka subject) is a required field and cannot be removed. So what ever you modified you broke things pretty good. This is not something that you can achieve via the ui, and is in the realms of Mods and Customizations. As such I am moving your thread to that section of the forums.
I didn't remove it, I just replaced the short answer with a list and left everything else in the manage ticket form. I think that if this isn't supposed to change it should be locked down. I have a cron job dropping the cdata table hourly and this seems to satisfy the client for now.Thanks for letting me know.
