Hello. I'm VERY NEW to this software so please be kind. I have it setup (version 1.8.1.2) on IIS 7.5 with MySQL 5.6.17. Is there a way to force the users to use a login and password and not just open tickets to anyone who wants to enter them? Thanks for the help.
I guess maybe I'm asking about this wrong. Is there a way to disable Guest User access and force users to have an account.

Well apparently not. This application is completely useless without that feature. It might as well be called SpamTicket. Very strange.
Cant we make the user interface only to registered users???
There are a number of ways to secure osTicket (at the web browser level) to prevent spamming of tickets.I've been running osTicket for a number of years and have never had a problem with spam tickets. Also it's been noted many times in here in the forums that user accounts are coming in 1.8.2.
My solution:Admin Panel, Manage, Ticket FiltersI have a filter: Email does not contain = reject ticket.Looking forward to LDAP integration for users though!
