Custom form variables not available in email templates

osTicket version 1.8.0.1, Apache/2.2.22, PHP 5.4.4, MySQL 5.5.34.

When I add fields to a custom form I can define variable names (see image).
The tooltip says that such variables are available in email templates but it doesn't work.
In the example image I attached I defined three variable names: "s" "f" and "d".
I expected to be able to use such variables in a new ticket alert template as %{ticket.s}, %{ticket.f}, %{ticket.d}.
This doesn't work, such variables in the email template are just ignored.
I had a look to the source code and it looks to me that such feature is not implemented at all in 1.8.0.1.
Am I correct?

  • Correct, currently it only works if the list/fields are added to one of the Built In Forms.
